Peterborough Symphony Orchestra’s 2016 Christmas Raffle has been announced in conjunction with the PSO’s holiday concert, A Nutcracker Christmas. A Nutcracker Christmas, sponsored by Swish, will be performed at Showplace Performance Centre (290 George St. N, Peterborough) on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Children and adults alike will delight in excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s beloved and timeless Nutcracker. Hockey fans will love the musical version of the more modern classic, The Hockey Sweater (Le chandail de hockey), composed by Abigail Richardson-Schulte, narrated by hockey great Bob Gainey. There will be seasonal favourites, a carol sing, and the Kawartha Youth Orchestra joins the PSO to help get everyone into the spirit of the season. Concert tickets are almost sold out for this event! Any remaining tickets are available for purchase from the Showplace box office.

The PSO’s Christmas Raffle offers you the chance to surprise the hockey fan on your Christmas list with a fantastic prize package that includes:

-The Gainey name and number Montreal Canadiens hockey sweater Bob Gainey will wear during his performance with the PSO, signed by the hockey legend himself.

-A special 30th anniversary hardcover edition of The Hockey Sweater, signed by author Roch Carrier.

-A voucher for 2 regular bowl seat tickets to a Peterborough Petes 2016/17 regular season home game.

-A $50 gift certificate valid at the Peterborough Petes Store.
