How were you introduced to your instrument of choice?
I couldn’t decide on an instrument. I asked the man above to help me choose an instrument and I saw a frog made out of rocks and it had shells in it and the frog was holding a flute. I started flute in grade nine and then went on to study it in university. I went into nursing and when I was studying for exams I would play the flute. I tried out for one audition at university level and got it. In the audition I was told I stood out because I had great expression when I played, and that was a rare quality that could not be taught.
