Krista has been working in the arts and in the community for the many years and is co-founder of the highly successful ReFrame Peterborough International Film Festival. Prior to the film festival Krista worked at the Peterborough County City Health Unit.

Krista’s goal is to keep the arts vibrant in Peterborough and to help the Symphony be a strong and vital part of our community. She believes by linking with community organizations and collaborating on projects, a strong community “arts core.” is created. Krista says “it takes a village to raise a child and a supportive collaborative community to raise the profile of the arts in a community.”

Krista will be working with the PSO Board and Michael Newnham, PSO musical director to maintain the orchestra’s dedicated patrons and supporters but sees her challenge as building new audiences by using innovative approaches.
